2017 Chester County Balloon Festival Press Release

If you have ever found yourself looking skyward and gazing longingly at the sight of a hot air balloon, you will be delighted to learn that the 11th Annual Chester County Balloon Festival will take place on June 23-25, 2017 at the New Garden Airport in Toughkenamon, PA.

The Chester County Balloon Festival is a non-profit event with portions of the proceeds going to the Chester County Hero Fund. The Chester County Hero Fund provides necessary financial assistance to the widows, children, and families who are left with little or no support when a police officer, deputy sheriff, firefighter, emergency medical technician, paramedic or state trooper loses his/her life or is seriously injured in the line of duty. Please come out and support this wonderful organization by attending the festival. In addition the Chester County Balloon festival likes to support our local youth organizations that support leadership growth like the Boyscout and Girlscouts of America.

This fantastic visual spectacle will be an awe-inspiring display of color with 20+ balloons taking flight twice each day. (Book your flight now before they are sold out). With far-reaching views stretching across the beautiful Chester County Countryside, it is little wonder that these rides are described as “spell-binding” and “magical”. For those that like to keep their feet closer to the ground, there will be Tethered rides, a walk through inflated balloon. In addition to the mass launches, there will also be evening Balloon glow shows featuring special shape balloon rodeo.  During some of the balloon events, visitors will have the opportunity to view the balloons close up, meet the pilots, and take balloon rides. All balloon events are conditions permitting. High winds, storm fronts, etc. can create an unsafe environment and cause delays and/or cancellations. But do not come just for the balloons……

The festival committee has put together a variety of non-balloon related activities at the festival. There will be food and corp/craft vendors that offer something for everyone. Live music along-side the wine & beer garden throughout the weekend. A kids fun zone, monster truck rides, helicopter rides, kite and remote control plane demonstrations. Back again this year is knocker ball and zip line and our very special Learn to Dive Pool! Bring your suits! Do not miss the Saturday fireworks and the Fire truck parade and rescue Demo on Hero’s Day Sunday. Truly something for everyone. (some activities require an additional fee)

Admission to the festival is…
$15 per person (1 day pass)
$5 for kids age 6-12 (1 day pass)
Free kids 6 and under
Some activities at the festival require additional fees.
