9th Annual Chester Country Balloon Festival – June 19-21, 2015

New Garden Flying Field, Toughkenamon, PA

Toughkenamon, PA - Experience Chester County and the unique and historic Del Val Region from the ground up! Celebrating our 9th year, the Chester County Balloon Festival is a must attend event providing family fun for all ages. The Chester County Balloon Festival is a non-profit organization with proceeds going to the Chester County Hero Fund and other local community groups.

The popularity of the Chester County Balloon Festival has experienced incredible growth the past few years requiring the move to a new location. This year’s Festival will be held at the New Garden Flying Field in Toughkenamon, PA on Father’s Day weekend (June 19-21, 2015). The airport is located at 1235 Newark Road just off Highway 1, allowing visitors from all over Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Delaware, Maryland, and New York convenient access.

The expanded 3-day (Friday-Sunday) schedule highlights over 20 hot air balloon taking flight twice per day, balloon glow featuring Special Shaped Balloon Rodeo, untethered and tethered balloon rides, and a walk-thru balloon. The ever popular Saturday Night Fireworks are back! Historically a crowd pleaser, we are very excited to have them back this year!

This new venue also allows the Festival to incorporate other forms of flight including introductory airplane flights, helicopter, and plane rides (Pt-19 and Cessna 172) in addition to the customary balloon flights. There will be a “Kids Zone” with flight simulators and other hands on projects manned by the youth instructors of the Future Aviator Camp.

When the festival gates open it will be to both fly in and drive in visitors! A Saturday morning community favorite Pancake Breakfast sponsored by the local Chapter of the Experimental Aircraft Association will be open to the public. A new event of Sunday will feature a parade of fire trucks from most of the local townships including rescue demos using the Jaws of Life and other tools of the trade. The Festival will continue to feature local bands each day and over 100 craft and food vendors, including the opportunity to scuba dive, sample craft beer, wineries and mushrooms too.

Attendees will have the opportunity to purchase tickets for tethered and untethered balloon rides along with helicopter and plane rides. Purchase your flights early as we sold out last year. Online ticket sales are available until June 12. Buy your tickets early and receive an Early Bird discount.
